BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Return to Learn plans in the Bronson and Quincy school districts were formally approved this week by their Boards of Education.
Both are quite detailed and go over several scenarios of what would happen depending on what stage Branch County is under as part of the state’s reopening plan.
Right now, a majority of the state including Branch County is in Stage Four which allows for at least some face-to-face learning.
The two districts have posted their reopening plans on their web sites.
The first day of classes in both Bronson and Quincy is set for August 24.
Meanwhile, the Quincy School Board approved a proposal that would be placed on the November ballot which would ask taxpayers in the district to pay an additional mill over five years to replace a funding reduction due to the Headlee Reduction. If approved, it’s estimated the millage will raise just under $30,000 in the first year.
