COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners gave County Administrator Bud Norman permission to move forward on Tuesday with submitting an application to the Federal Government’s First Responder Hazard Pay Premiums Program.
Counties are eligible for the program which applies to law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMT’s, Paramedics, 911 Operators and Corrections Officers serving local units of government.
The maximum amount would be $1,000 per certified eligible employee and applications have to be received by September 30.
Payments would be made no later than November 14,
