CAMDEN TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A two vehicle crash in Hillsdale County’s Camden Township Sunday afternoon at the intersection of South Edon and West Territorial Roads sent four persons to the hospital.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department says according to their preliminary investigation, a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Elena J. Peeples of Ewing, New Jersey failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and collided with a car driven by 50-year-old Brent A. Nissen of Napoleon, Ohio.
Peeples was taken to Cameron Memorial Community Hospital in Angola, Indiana.
Two passengers in her vehicle from Ames, Iowa were transported by Reading Emergency Unit to Henry Community Health Center in Indiana.
A passenger in the Nissen vehicle, 48-year-old Xochitl Nissen of Napoleon, Ohio was flown by Airlift Flight Service to St. Vincent Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
The Sheriff’s Department say the seven persons involved in the crash were wearing their seatbelts and the crash remains under investigation.
