Lucile D. Omo, 87, of Union City, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
The funeral service will be held Friday, September 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Julie Elmore from the Coldwater United Methodist Church officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 5-8 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Lucile was born June 22, 1933 in Coldwater, MI to Carrollton & Beaulah (Teall) Kinyon. She married Lee Edward Omo on August 7, 1954 in Angola, IN. He preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 1998.
Mrs. Omo was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker, working briefly at Federal Mogul.
Lucile was a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church where she was active in the Ladies Circle. She belonged to the Red Hat Society, the Post Balloon Club and the Friends of the Knights in Bronson. Lucile enjoyed her Thursday night Euchre club and spent much time volunteering at Lincoln School teaching English to the Arabic children.
She loved the duties of motherhood, spending many years being very involved with her children’s schools and activities. Her duties as grandma were even more special to her, crocheting many blankets for her grandchildren.
Lucile is survived by her children Denise Omo of Las Vegas, NV, Janice (Jim) Hemker of Coldwater, Carol (Tim) Hemker of Union City, Alan (Stacey) Omo of Colorado Springs, CO, her brother Max (Marge) Kinyon of Coldwater, her grandchildren David (Andrea Musselman) Hemker, Stephen Hemker, Matthew (Cindy) Hemker, Brian (Michaela) Hemker, Sarah Hemker, Amy Lauback, Regan Omo, Christopher Omo; her great grandchildren Bella, Aiden, Hollie, Oliver, Corin, Kaley & Kinsley.
