CHICAGO, IL (WTVB) – Sources say officials from the Big Ten could hold a re-vote on postponing fall sports as early as today.
The Big Ten has been facing pressure from multiple parties to reverse their decision, which has ramped up to new levels this week. Parents of student-athletes at every school have rallied and sent letters, players from the University of Nebraska have filed a lawsuit, and President Trump personally called Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren about returning to the field.
Insiders say the Big Ten is possibly looking to either re-start the season on October 10, 2020 or to wait and begin playing games just after Thanksgiving in November.
