EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) – East Lansing Public Schools has decided to move forward with moderate and high-risk sports for the fall season. Football, boys soccer, volleyball and girls swimming and diving were reinstated by the school district Sunday.
The decision came three days after the Michigan High School Athletic Association announced that all four sports would take place this fall and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer gave the green light for competition to take place. The district had postponed four of its fall sports last month.
Athletic Director Nikki Norris said it was important for the school district to take everything into consideration and make an informed and intentional decision.
