CHICAGO, IL (WTVB) – Eloy Jimenez clubbed a three-run homer in the sixth inning to lift the White Sox to a 4-3 victory over the Tigers in Chicago. Alex Colome worked around an error in the ninth to log his 10th save. The Pale Hose had only three hits, but improved to 28-and-16 and lead the AL Central.
Daz Cameron singled home two runs in the Detroit sixth. Jorge Bonifacio plated the other Tigers’ run with a sacrifice fly. Detroit rookie starter Casey Mize allowed only one hit and two runs in five-plus innings in a no-decision. Detroit dropped to 20-and-24 and is three-and-a-half back in the wild-card race.
