EAST LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan State University officials are calling for students on or near the campus to self-quarantine after a spike in COVID-19 cases.
According to the Ingham County Health Department, at least one third of the new cases attended social gatherings or parties with large groups of people, with a good number of the events sponsored by sororities or fraternities.
Health department authorities are warning that a continued increase in cases could have effects on not just those at MSU, but throughout the area.
