CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Three teens could be facing charges following a string of burglaries in Calhoun County.
Deputies say that a several businesses and vehicles were broken into in the Village of Homer over the past several weeks.
The burglaries occurred at the Homer Department of Public Works garage, the recycling center, the Homer High School concession stand, an office in the 400 block of South Hillsdale Street, and an auto repair shop in the 100 block of Plain Street. The suspects also broke into several vehicles and storage units. Details on what was taken were not released.
After a lengthy investigation and with some help from the community, authorities detained three juveniles Tuesday night. The 16-year-olds all confessed to the crimes and deputies recovered some of the stolen items.
The case will now be forwarded to the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office to determine what charges the teens could face.
