ALLEN PARK, MI (WTVB) – Detroit Lions rookie cornerback Jeff Okudah returned to practice yesterday and could be in line to make his NFL debut in Green Bay this weekend.
Okudah was a full participant yesterday after he missed Sunday’s season opener against Chicago with a hamstring injury.
Starting corners Justin Coleman and Desmond Trufant both suffered hamstring injuries in the game against the Bears. Coleman was placed on injured reserve earlier this week and Trufant did not take part in practice yesterday.
The Lions have signed cornerback Chris Jones to the active roster. Jones originally entered the NFL with Detroit as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Nebraska in 2018. Between 2018-20 he has spent time on the practice squad and active roster of the Arizona Cardinals. Jones has 19 total tackles and six pass defenses in 13 career games.
