DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – The Detroit Red Wings have loaned center Michael Rasmussen to a team in Austria.
Rasmussen is the eighth prospect to be loaned to a European team in the past few months. With Covid-19 ending NHL and AHL play in March, the Red Wings are letting prospects play overseas to stay competitive.
All eight players can be recalled in time for training camp before the start of the next NHL and AHL seasons, which have been pushed back to at least December 2020.
