DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – The Detroit Tigers have made some moves on the 40 man roster ahead of the MLB offseason.
Detroit waived outfielder Jorge Bonifacio, along with pitchers Dario Agrazal, Dereck Rodriguez and Nick Ramirez.
Bonifacio, Agrazal and Rodriguez cleared waivers and were assigned to Triple-A Toledo. Ramirez also went unclaimed, but has decided to become a free agent.
Tigers pitching prospect Matt Manning says he is at 100-percent right now after dealing with an arm injury. Manning and pitcher Alex Faedo were shut down with right forearm strains in August.
Both players have been throwing and working out but not pitching during the Tigers’ instructional league camp in Lakeland, Florida. Manning said that he’s going to work to get his arm as strong and healthy as he can for Spring Training.
