DURHAM, NC (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan State University men’s basketball team is celebrating a 75-69 win at Duke in the State Farm Champions Classic Tuesday night.
Rocket Watts led five Spartans in double figures with 20 points. Aaron Henry had 14 points along with five assists and three steals. Julius Marble had 12 points. Joey Hauser had 11 points and 10 rebounds, Malik Hall had 10 points and 10 boards.
It was MSU’s first-ever win at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The Spartans are 3-and-0 and will host Detroit Mercy on Friday and Western Michigan on Sunday.
The University of Michigan is at home tonight against Ball State. The Wolverines outlasted Oakland University 81-71 in overtime Sunday at Crisler Center. Isaiah Livers scored 21 points and Hunter Dickinson added 19, all after halftime, as U-of-M improved to 2-and-0.
Ball State is 0-and-1.
