Ron was born April 30, 1932 in Millville, New Jersey to Howard and Berniece (Conover) Frambes. He graduated from Bridgeton High School in New Jersey. He enlisted in the U.S. Army for two years and was inducted at Camp Kilmer in New Jersey, and served in Germany. Michael in Coldwater. She survives.
Ron was a sales representative in Battle Creek for Miller’s Wholesale, retiring in the late 1980s after 34 years of employment. He later worked part-time at the Putnam Funeral Home, as well as at Drews Place Assisted Living. Ron was a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church. His heart for others led him to purchase coats for needy children and he enjoyed giving anonymously when he saw a need. In his younger years he enjoyed being Santa for many youngsters. Additionally, he volunteered at the Branch County Food Pantry, delivered Meals on Wheels and was a charter member of the Branch County Victims Unit. His passion was working with wood, both restoring and creating beautiful pieces.
In addition to Irene, his loving wife of 67 years, Ron is survived by his son, Michael (Dawn) Frambes of Clarksville; granddaughter, Chelsea (Stewart) Edwards of Coldwater; great-granddaughter, Maizey Edwards; and his sister-in-law, Mary Frambes of Fishers, IN.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Claudia (1965); a sister, Harriet “Carol” Thompson; brothers David and Robert Frambes; brother-in-law, Richard Thompson; and sister-in-law Joyce Frambes (David’s wife).
