EAST LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – In men’s college basketball, Michigan State University hosts Purdue at the Breslin Center tonight.
MSU is 8-and-3 overall and 2-and-3 in the Big Ten after a 68-45 win over number 14 Rutgers Tuesday night. Purdue has lost their last two games and is 7-and-5 overall and 2-and-3 in conference play.
Tomorrow’s game between number nine University of Michigan and Penn State University has been postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests within the Nittany Lions program. U of M, Penn State and the Big Ten are working to reschedule the game.
Michigan will return to action Tuesday when they host tenth ranked Wisconsin.
The Western Michigan Broncos play at Kent State Saturday afternoon. The Broncos are 1-2 in the Mid-American Conference and 2-6 overall.
Both Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan are at home on Saturday. The Chippewas host conference co-leader Bowling Green while the Eagles will host Akron.
University of Detroit Mercy will not play for a second straight weekend as their two-game series at Milwaukee was cancelled due to COVID-19. According to Horizon League officials, the games were postponed because of positive tests, quarantining and contract tracing within the UDM basketball program.
The Titans did not play two games against University of Illinois-Chicago last week as the team took time off for the mental-health and well-being of the student-athletes.
