LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) – A state representative from Lowell stated Friday that, before Michigan receives any federal COVID-19 relief funding, the governor should re-open the state’s economy.
Republican Thomas Albert said that he believes that discussions with the federal government over funding assistance have to involve talks about how impacted businesses like restaurants will be allowed to open and operate again.
Governor Whitmer, in a Friday press conference, stated that she hoped Albert wasn’t advocating the withholding of money that is earmarked for vaccine distribution and other public health issues over when restaurants would re-open.
