ALBION TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Michigan State Police say a Jackson resident has been arrested in connection with a Calhoun County shooting one week ago.
They say the suspect has been charged with Assault with intent to commit murder and felony firearm.
The investigation is a result of a shooting incident that occurred on January 5 in Albion Township.
Troopers say the investigation started when a witness discovered an unresponsive subject laying on the shoulder of D Drive South.
The victim was taken to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson for a gunshot wound and is expected to make a full recovery.
The suspect is currently lodged in the Jackson County Jail on unrelated drug charges. A name is being withheld until an arraignment is held.
