DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Red Wings have waived nine players, including 2015 first round pick forward Evgeny Svechnikov.
Svechnikov appeared in 20 games in three years and missed the entire 2018-19 season with a torn ACL.
If the players are not claimed by noon today, they can be assigned to the Red Wings’ taxi-squad or to the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins.
