He was born June 15, 1937 to Bill and Phyllis (Laurent) Hinsdale in Detroit, MI. On November 21, 1986 he married Mary Jepson and she preceded him in death on February 19, 2010. Larry had honorably served his country in the United States Navy. After returning from the service, Larry worked at Moore Business Forms in Angola for 30 years until his retirement. He then established his auctioneer business here in Branch County and worked for many years until his passing. He was a hardworking man that was generous with his time and affection, having served as a member of the Knights of Columbus in Coldwater, St. Charles Catholic Church, the Burnside Senior Center in Coldwater, the Moose in Fremont, the Merry Mixers Square Dancing Club, and the National Auctioneering Association. Larry was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing, camping, and boating especially on the great lakes. He also liked going to the casino and was a talented man that could play several different instruments that complemented his passion for music. But above all, Larry loved spending time with his family; he was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather that was always there for his family and will be dearly missed.
Larry is survived by his daughters Monica Hinsdale of Coldwater, Linda (Greg) Kochendorfer of Quincy; his grandchildren Melinda (John) Cafarelli, Chelsea Kochendorfer, Duane Mundy, Garrett Kochendorfer; his great grandchildren Khloe Thurman and Ansley Cafarelli, his first wife, Judy Foster and his significant other Ruth McBride.
