ANN ARBOR, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The fifth-ranked Michigan Wolverines are likely to drop when the new men’s college basketball rankings come out today after Saturday’s 75-57 blowout loss at Minnesota. The Wolverines fell to 11-and-1 on the season and 6-and-1 in Big Ten play with the setback.
Michigan will look to bounce back tomorrow night hosting Maryland. The Terrapins are 8-and-6 and 2-and-5.
Michigan State is off the hardwood until this weekend. The Spartans are scheduled to host 13th-ranked Illinois on Saturday in their lone game of the week. MSU had both of its games last week against Iowa and Indiana postponed due to COVID-19.
The Spartans sit at 8-and-4 including 2-and-4 in Big Ten play.
