LANSING, MI (WJXQ) – There will be no sessions this week in the Michigan House and Senate due to threats of armed protests with the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden Wednesday.
A six-foot-tall fence will remain in place around the Capitol all week, and the Michigan National Guard will continue working security with Michigan State Police, Lansing Police and Ingham County Sheriff’s Deputies.
Regular legislative sessions are expected to resume next week in Lansing.
