Quentin Grimes had 18 points as the host Cougars made their first four 3-point attempts en route to defeating the Knights in their American Athletic Conference matchup.
Justin Gorham added 15 points with nine rebounds for the Cougars (11-1, 6-1 in AAC), who won their fourth in a row. Houston jumped out to a 12-0 lead thanks to 3-pointers from Marcus Sasser, Grimes and a pair via DeJon Jarreau.
Freshman Jamille Reynolds scored a season-high 14 points to lead the Knights (3-5, 1-4).
