ANN ARBOR, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The University of Michigan men’s basketball team fell two spaces to number-seven in this week’s Coaches basketball poll. The Wolverines suffered their first loss of the season to then 19th-ranked Minnesota 75-57 last Saturday.
U-of-M is 11-and-1 overall and 6-and-1 in the Big Ten and hosts Maryland tonight.
Gonzaga is number-one in the poll for the seventh straight week. The 14-and-0 Bulldogs received 28 of the 31 first-place votes to retain the top spot. Baylor remains second followed by Villanova. Iowa is up four spots to fourth with Texas now fifth.
Tennessee, Michigan, Houston, Kansas and Wisconsin round out the top-10.
