LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – If you received your stimulus payment via a prepaid Visa Card, the state Attorney General says that it is not a scam.
Dana Nessel issued a statement on Friday that said the federal government was utilizing three methods to send out the latest round of stimulus- direct deposit, paper check, and the prepaid Visa cards.
She emphasized that those who receive the payments through the mail should look for a white envelope with the seal of the Treasury Department, and that the card will have the Visa logo on the front and the name of the issuing bank, MetaBank, N.A., on the back.
