ALLEN PARK MI (WKZO AM/FM) – It appears that the Matthew Stafford era in Detroit has come to an end.
Reports about the star QB leaving the team surfaced on Saturday, as an anonymous source indicated that Stafford had mentioned his desire to leave the team after the season ended.
Since then, team officials have talked with Stafford about his feelings, and that the team would look into trading him to a possible contender.
Stafford has two years on his current contract.
He has been with the Lions since being drafted #1 overall in 2009.
