CHICAGO, IL (WKZO AM/FM) – Rookie Pius Suter posted his first three career goals for the hat trick as the Blackhawks blasted the Detroit Red Wings 6-2 in Chicago.
Connor Murphy, Mattias Janmark, and Philipp Kurashev also lit the lamp for the Blackhawks, who swept the two-game series with the Red Wings after starting the season 0-3-and-1. Kevin Lankinen kicked aside 25 shots in the victory.
Tyler Bertuzzi scored both goals for Detroit, which slipped to 2-4-and-0. Jonathan Bernier was lit up for all six goals on 35 shots in defeat.
The Red Wings will visit the Dallas Stars tomorrow.
