MOTTVILLE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — St. Joseph County authorities arrested a driver who fled and plowed through two farm fields Sunday morning.
Sheriff Mark Lillywhite says deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on Burke Rd near U.S. 12 in Mottville Township just before 1:00 a.m.. The vehicle had been speeding and disobeying stop signs in this area. Near State Line Rd. the suspect drove into a farm field. Once the suspect vehicle exited the field, deputies pursued the suspect again where it entered another field. Eventually the suspect stopped and surrendered himself.
The 34-year-old man from Constantine was lodged for multiple criminal offenses involving traffic violations, narcotics violations, and weapons violations.
