ANN ARBOR, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has suspended all University of Michigan athletics for two weeks due to a COVID-19 variant found in the athletics department.
There were five confirmed positive cases of the variant and 15 other presumed positives within the department.
The University of Michigan men’s basketball team last played Friday, when they cruised past Purdue 70-53 to get to 13-and-1.
The seventh-ranked Wolverines are scheduled to return for a home game against number-24 Illinois February 11.
