BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings lost a hard fought Big 8 Conference game to Reading on Saturday afternoon 49-47 as the Rangers got the winning bucket at the buzzer.
It was a tight game throughout as Bronson led 21-20 at the half and 35-34 after three quarters. The Rangers pulled out the win with a 15-12 fourth quarter.
Reading’s defense held Bronson to 35 percent shooting which included the Vikings only making three out of 19 three-point attempts.
Aden Hathaway led Bronson with 18 points and three assists while Mason Harris had nine points and Noah Houtz grabbed ten rebounds.
The loss dropped Bronson’s record to 2-1.
Also in boys basketball on Saturday, Union City dropped to 1-2 as they lost at home at Homer 77-47.
