COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The latest data from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services shows Branch County’s positivity rate for new cases of COVID-19 has fallen to 2.5%.
Figure show 645 tests were administered in Branch County between February 15 and February 21 with only 16 coming back positive.
Branch County had a seven day positivity rate of four-point-one percent between February 8 and 14.
Branch County is among 34 counties that has weekly positive rates at less than three percent which is the lower level of the six level metric system the state uses to measure coronavirus risks.
The data also shows there are no counties in the Level E, D or C categories, which are the three highest levels.
The seven day average for positive coronavirus tests in the State of Michigan is now at 3.5%.
