CHICAGO, IL (WKZO AM/FM) – Patrick Kane scored his 400th career goal in the Blackhawks’ 7-2 victory over the Red Wings in Chicago.
Nikita Zadorov and Ryan Carpenter each found the back of the net for Chicago in the first period, with Carpenter adding an insurance tally in a five-goal third.
Kevin Lankinen made a career-high 44 saves for Chicago, which moved to 12-7-and-4 on the season.
Sam Gagner and Evgeny Svechnikov had Detroit’s two goals, while Thomas Greiss gave up all seven goals. He ended up with 25 saves.
The Red Wings fall to 7-14-and-3. They will play at Columbus tomorrow.
