TAMPA, FL (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors are scheduled to tip off tonight in Tampa. The game was originally scheduled to be played yesterday but was postponed until tonight due to COVID-19 issues within the Raptors organization.
Detroit enters the game with a 9-and-25 record, while Toronto is at 17-and-17 on the season.
Five Raptors players and several staff members including head coach Nick Nurse are out Wednesday against the Pistons due to health and safety protocols. Forward Pascal Siakam and guard Fred VanVleet are among the players who will remain unavailable through Thursday’s match-up against the Boston Celtics.
General Manager Bobby Webster told the Athletic that it’s still too early to determine what this means for the All-Star break and who could return when Toronto resumes play against Atlanta. The team called up Jalen Harris and Donta Hall from the Raptor’s G-League affiliate, Raptors 905.
