Tigers losing streak at four following loss to Blue Jays

LAKELAND, FL (WKZO AM/FM) – Starter Casey Mize was roughed up on Friday as the Tigers lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 8-1 in a Grapefruit League game. Mize was chased in the fourth inning after he allowed five runs on eight hits including two home runs. While he struck out five, Mize’s spring training ERA ballooned to 9.90. The Tigers have lost four straight and eight of their last nine which leaves them with an exhibition record of 7-10. They will face the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday afternoon.
