WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. Commerce Department on Tuesday issued a subpoena to a Chinese company as part of the Biden administration’s review of supply chain issues, the department said in a statement that did not name the entity.
“The subpoena served today allows the Commerce Department to collect information that will help make a determination regarding the potential risk to the security of United States and its citizens,” it said adding it “hopes to work cooperatively with this company to conclude a thorough review.”
