DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – AnnMarie Gilbert will return as University of Detroit Mercy women’s head basketball coach next season.
Fourteen players and their parents accused Gilbert of NCAA violations and mistreatment in January. The school then cancelled the 2020-21 season.
In a statement, UDM officials said the school conducted a review of the issues, submitted the findings to the NCAA and will keep Gilbert as head coach.
