COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School girls varsity soccer team picked up its second straight shutout, topping Hastings 2-0 Wednesday night.
The Lady Cardinals improved to 1-0 in the Interstate 8 Conference and 3-3 overall with the win. The game featured times of heavy snow, mixed with sunshine as well.
Juana Mancera scored the opening goal of the game with 8:09 left in the first half, assisted by Cara Miller. Masyn Marsh sealed the win with a goal with 9:56 to play in the game, assisted by Mia Leggett.
Taylor Robinson and Jillian McKinley combined in goal for the shutout, as Coldwater outshot Hastings 10-2.
The Lady Cardinals continue Interstate 8 Conference play at Marshall.
The Coldwater junior varsity team fell to Mason 6-0.
