COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man was arraigned Monday in Branch County District Court on five counts for allegedly being in possession of sexually explicit materials involving children.
Branch County Prosecutors filed charges against 34-year-old Robert Sloan following a Michigan State Police investigation.
He has been charged with four counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive materials as well as a charge of using a computer to commit a crime.
According to Branch County court documents, a State Police investigator obtained a search warrant for Sloan’s residence which allowed him to seize electronic devices. The report stated about 250 sexually explicit photographs involving young children were found on the computer, phone and hard drive.
Documents also state that Sloan told investigators he downloaded the images and that he had been doing it for years.
Bond has been set at $50,000.
