BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – National Weather Service forecasters say the below normal temperatures we are experiencing right now will linger into at least the middle of next week.
The normal high temperature for May 6 in Coldwater is 65 degrees but temperatures are expected to only be in the low 50s on Thursday afternoon.
The extended forecast is calling for highs to stay in the 50s until next Wednesday. If the forecast holds, that means the high temperature in Coldwater will be below 60 degrees for eight straight days during the so called merry month of May.
In addition, high temperatures are not expected to get above normal until next weekend.
Even though it’s Mother’s Day this Sunday, the forecast is calling for widespread frost Friday night and Saturday morning as lows are expected to drop to near 30 degrees.
The weather on Mother’s Day is expected to be downright dreary with clouds, showers and chilly temperatures only in the mid 50s.
