BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The cold and wet conditions didn’t bother the Bronson girls softball team on Thursday as they swept a doubleheader from Hillsdale on 15-0 scores.
Lynsey Smith and Mya Webb were the winning pitchers. Smith struck out five batters in the first game which went four innings while Webb had four strikeouts in the second game which was shortened to three innings.
Dekoda Kline homered in the first game while Jaydn Cary had three singles.
Cary had three more hits in the second game including a double and three RBI’s. Smith had two doubles while Karissa Gest belted a home run and drove in three runs.
Bronson Coach Becky Grey said, “We are continuing to get better everyday. We still have a lot of work to do but the girls are working hard.”
Bronson’s overall record is 14-5.
