JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater had a rough night at Jackson Northwest as they were swept by the Mounties 7-0 and 10-0.
Riley Rice had the only hit for Coldwater in the opener as they struck out 17 times.
The Cardinals were the victims of a no-hitter in the second game.
Northwest was ranked second in the state in Division Two this week by the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association.
Coldwater is now 11-12 overall and 4-4 in the Interstate 8 Conference
Jackson Northwest swept the JV doubleheader over Coldwater by scores of 16-2 and 19-0.
