QUINCY TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A bad week on Branch County roads continued on Thursday morning as a Hillsdale woman was injured when her small SUV crashed into a tree east of Quincy.
The crash on U.S. 12 near Boone Road was reported just before 7:00 a.m. and was investigated by the Branch County Sheriff’s Office.
They say deputies and Quincy Fire/Rescue removed 41-year-old Tosha Boyd and began treatment on her. Lifecare Ambulance later took her to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital in Coldwater.
The Sheriff’s Office says according to their deputies investigation, Boyd was heading west on U.S. 12 when she crossed the center line, left the road and struck a large tree.
The vehicle then rolled over and struck three smaller trees before it came to rest in a cattle field.
Boyd stated she had just dropped her children off prior to the accident. She was wearing her seat belt.
Branch County Sheriff Deputies were assisted by Life Care Ambulance and the Quincy Fire Department.
Thursday morning’s injury crash was the fifth this week in Branch County.
A 57-year-old Jonesville man suffered a leg injury in a crash at about 5:20 p.m. Wednesday afternoon on U.S. 12 just west of the Branch-Hillsdale county line which was investigated by Quincy Police. Three crashes on Monday resulted in injuries to six persons.

I wonder if road patrol to enforce our laws might help. Hmmm…
