QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Village Council approved three proposals from Fishbeck Engineers of Lansing on Tuesday night for various projects in the village.
The first would be for construction drawings and specifications for work on West Liberty Street between Pleasant and Main Street. The work would include reconstructing that portion of West Liberty. There would also be new curbs and gutters and the replacement of sidewalk ramps to meet ADA standards. The Pleasant Street pump station would be removed and flow would be rerouted to the South Main lift station.
The project would be split into two bid packages. The professional services fee with Fishbeck is not to exceed $108,650.
On another matter, Fishbeck agreed to prepare project plans for both the Clean Water State Revolving Fund and the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. The plans are needed to apply for funding improvement projects in the village.
Fishbeck would also provide professional engineering services for the Village Estates development at a cost of about $69,000. The work will be done in two phases. The first phase would include preliminary work on lots, utilities and road grading. Phase two would finalize the work. They would also develop a landscape plan and apply for various permits. All of the work is expected to take four years.
