DEARBORN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — President Biden will be in Michigan today to visit the Ford Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn. He is expected to highlight the need for investments in electric vehicle technology and manufacturing as part of his infrastructure discussions.
Ford officials say they are excited to host the President as he will get to see the new Ford F-150 Lightning electric-powered truck ahead of its public reveal later this week. Business leaders say Michigan will continue to lead the transition away from internal combustion vehicles.
This will be President Biden’s second visit to Michigan since taking office. The first was in February when he came to Portage to visit the Pfizer facility where the first COVID-19 vaccine was developed and then deployed around the world in December.
