COLDWATER TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Township Supervisor Don Rogers has announced the township will open its new dog park on M-86 between Branch and Hodunk Roads on Friday, May 28.
The Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce will conduct a grand opening ceremony which will start that morning at 10:00 a.m..
The dog park came about after the Township Board banned dogs and other animals from the Township park and playground behind the Township Hall on Sprague Road. There had been a number of complaints about the animals. Mowing crews also had to fill in holes left by the dogs as well as the messes they left behind.
Rogers says there will be waste receptacles, doggie bags and a supply of top soil at the new dog park. He hopes everyone will take pride in it and keep it neat and clean.
Just passing misery on to somewhere else. How was this funded?
