KANSAS CITY, MO (WKZO-AM/FM) – Miguel Cabrera went deep twice, including a 7th inning grand slam that put the Tigers ahead for good as they knocked off Kansas City 7-5 in the opener of a 3-game series. Miggy also had a solo shot in the 2nd and a single in the 6th.
José Ureña was the winning pitcher, while Michael Fuller picked up his fourth save. The win was Detroit’s ninth in their last 11 games.
