DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers lost the final game of a four game series to the Cleveland Indians 5-2 Thursday afternoon at Comerica Park.
Jonathan Schoop broke up Cleveland starter Shane Bieber’s no-hit bid with a solo homer in the seventh inning. Bieber gave up one hit over seven-innings and struck out 12 to get his fifth win.
The Tigers host the New York Yankees in a three game weekend series beginning tonight. Casey Mize gets the start for Detroit while New York sends Gerrit Cole to the mound in the opener, with the first pitch scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
