ARLINGTON, TX (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers used a five-run sixth inning to beat the Rangers 7-3 in the series opener in Texas last night.
Zack Short smacked a two-run homer and ended with three RBI for Detroit. Wily Peralta pitched seven scoreless innings for the win.
The victory marked Detroit’s first against Texas since July 7, 2018. While the teams didn’t meet in 2020, the Tigers finished 0-6 against the Rangers in 2019.
