LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – It may be summer, but the state’s highest court is taking up cases involving possible liability by the state involving snowmobiles and utility vehicles.
The state Supreme Court is looking at two issues regarding injuries suffered in collisions involving state employees, and whether or not they can be considered motor vehicles under Michigan law.
If the court decided they are, then governmental immunity may not apply to lawsuits lodged against the Department of Natural Resources.
