DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers have called up veteran reliever Ian Krol from AAA Toledo.
Krol last pitched in the majors in 2018 and signed a minor league deal with Detroit in the offseason. He replaces pitcher Bryan Garcia, who was optioned to Toledo earlier this week.
The Tigers have reinstated Niko Goodrum from the 10-day injured list. Goodrum has been out of the lineup since injuring his finger June 18.
Detroit also placed Daz Cameron on the 10-day injured list as he continues to deal with a sprained toe he suffered earlier this week.
Pitcher Spencer Turnbull has been shifted from the 10-day to the 60-day injured list with right forearm tightness.
