WASHINGTON D.C. (WKZO AM/FM) – A report by the United States Justice Department office of Inspector General has found the FBI mishandled allegations against Larry Nassar.
Nassar was a Michigan State University sports doctor who was accused by hundreds of people of sexual abuse.
The report revealed that the FBI field office in Indianapolis delayed the investigation when complaints against the doctor were filed in 2016. The DOJ also found officials at the field office tried to cover up errors made in the case.
Nassar was sent to prison for the rest of his life in 2018 after he was convicted on several counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
